The way the patch installs has changed, see my for details (and also how to slightly improve graphics). If you are playing for the first time, install just the Basic patch, Plus will modify the game from the original release.

Very helpful, thanks. I'm trying to write everything I know though, so it's taking a while! Also when it is done, feel free to correct grammar/spelling and other info. I'll probably see if anyone here or on Planet Vampire wants to be a contributor when my 'first draft' is done as I've probably missed stuff. So many repeat questions on this forum, it would be nice to have a guide for everything.
