Decompressing

Hello, I've setup evdre logging thanks to thread 'EVDRE Logging' and am now trying analyse the ouput from an input schedule that is producing an 'EVDRE encountered an error retrieving data from the webserver' error. It does not occur consistently. Starting at the end of the log and working backward, I have found a couple of errors, see below. Would appreciate any help or pointers to a solution. Suggestions on other common errors strings to search for would also be useful as the log is 600 pages long! Tbldefaults is a table where you have parameters for appset or for application. These parameters are read when the users are connecting and are used to change the behaviour of different functions. In this case it is related to the fact how the EVDRE is compressing and decompressing the data.

Corrupted msi windows installer setup error. Error installing/decompressing. It I get a message saying 'Error decompressing data! Corrupted installer?'

If you don't have this records into your tbldefaults table I suggest to insert this record. If some of parameters doesn't exist then the system are using some default values hardcoded into code. Regards Sorin Radulescu. I had Speech Server 2007 running successfully on Win Server 2008 Std.

Hi, I try to install the Business Attendant Console Server on a Windows Server 2008 R1/SP2. But the setup always fails after decompressing the MSI-File with the following error: Error 1720. I copied archlinux-2011.08.19-netinstall-x8664 on a 256MB USB flash drive using dd.When I boot it it boots normally except for several error messages that appear saying: ### SQUASHFS ERROR unable to read data cache entry ###### SQUASHFS ERROR unable to read page block ### the ### numbers change every line. A dozen of these appear then booting resumes and it gets to the command line.

I tried setting the keyboard and loading the installer, so far it seems normal. Can someone tell what the nature of this error message is?

Could it be just because I burnt the iso on a smaller disk than it is intended for and it should work properly? Or does it mean the data is corrupted and I should not use it for install? I got the same error.

Using archlinux-2011.08.19-netinstall-dual.iso from USB.Prepared the USB stick from Windows using Disk Imager, as per instructions from the guide ( USBstick). You can use the `bzip2recover' program to attempt to recover data from undamaged sections of corrupted files. Tar: Unexpected EOF in archive tar: Unexpected EOF in archive tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now hope u guys can look into this matter. Once you've used msizap you're in deep stuff.

Are you using msizap for the version of MSI on the system? I don't know that 4.0 zap works on older OS versions. They are generally specific to the MSI version. A newer version is already installed is standard detection from the DetectNewerVersions check in your setup, so that should tell you what's going on. You can't install 1.0 if 2.0 is on the system. The other message might mean that the per-user weirdness in that article stopped working, so you have a per-user and a per-system one installed. There should be no remains of failed installations (unless you've used msizap) because the installer is transactional - it either all works or all fails, and doesn't leave parts behind.

Hi, It looks like this is your index tablespace. Please run the dbv command to identify howmany blocks are corrupt.

Find which objects belongs to those corrupted blocks? 3.Try to drop them and recreate them if possible? Or Create a new tablespace and move all the objects(except corrupted one) to that new tablespace, then try to recreate the tablespace. 5.Check with Hardware people whether they get any unwanted errors on the storage area? At the worst case, if you need those objects very badly then you need to restore that particular datafile alone if you are in ARCHIVELOG mode otherwise the whole database need to be restored.

Hi David and Judith, Please answer these questions so that we can diagnose the issue correctly: 1.

Windows

Does this issue occur in Internet Explorer 9, as well as other browsers? Do you have any anti-virus installed on the computer? Here’s what you can try: Method 1: Determine whether the Windows Installer engine is functioning. Follow these steps to do so. Press Windows key + R on the desktop to open Run Dialog. Type cmd and press Enter to open the Command Prompt.

At the Command Prompt, type MSIExec, and then press Enter. If the MSI engine is working, there should be no error messages. If you receive an error message, note the error and let us know. Method 2: You may also try to follow the steps provided below, which would help you to unregister and re-register Windows installer.

On the desktop, press Windows key + R to open a Run dialog. Type msiexec /unreg, and press Enter. Follow step A again. Type msiexec /regserver, and press Enter. Please get back to us with the answers and any other questions you might have regarding Windows operating systems. We are happy to assist.

ZfD 4.01 Windows XP image installed on workstation. If I install NAL apps I cannot afterwards install apps that use Windows Installer. I get an error 2755. To solve this problem I used to run msiexec /unreg and then msiexec /regserver After having installed Windows XP SP2 this does not work anymore. When I run Setup the workstation restarts.

If I install apps that use Windows Installer before deploying NAL apps everything works fine. So it seems that Windows Installer gets corrupted by NAL. Any thoughts? Hi, I have been trying to download star wars knights of the old republic for my pc. I did once successfully download the game, But when I tried booting up the game, the message says, that an error has occurred, would you like to send an error report? So I uninstalled it and tried installing it again. But this time, halfway through the installation process, the message decompressing data!

Is there some pre-requisites for installation of Codewarrior 10.0 Special Edition? I have had this issue too, for several months, and none of Microsoft's suggestions work. It will not install on my admin account or user account, either via Windows Update or via the standalone installer, in regular mode with all security software disabled or with a clean boot. It obviously won't install in safe mode since the service cannot be started. SFC has been finding corrupted files, but lately it has fixed all of them, so that is not the issue.Even running the update immediately after running SFC, presumably before too many files get corrupted again (usually just a hash mismatch), it will not install.I run KB947821, the latest version, regularly also.

I even used Reimage, but that did not help either. The standalone installer gives no error message, it merely says that it did not install. Unregister Windows Installer, and then reregister Windows Installer.

To do this, follow these steps: 1. On the 'Start' menu, click 'Run. In the 'Open' box, type 'msiexec /unreg', and then press ENTER.

On the 'Start' menu, click 'Run'. In the 'Open' box, type 'msiexec /regserver', and then press ENTER. Hello all you helpful forum-goers! I am having problems building an installer for my product now that I have upgraded to LabVIEW 2010 from 8.5.1. My project has an executable build, and then 3 installer builds which put a different value in the registry indicating the permissions level of the executable: Basic, Full, and Ultimate. Paul, Thank you! That did the trick. I am now able to build with no problems, and the distribution source for NI-VISA in the installer properties was changed to a local folder.

It was inconvenient that uninstalling NI-VISA required me to uninstall not only my product, but also LabVIEW RealTime and a couple other modules as well. I am hoping that reinstalling those doesn't mess up the system again, but Idon't thinkit will. Regardless, thank you very much for your assistance! Kudos to you, sir. I am installing N4S (NW 2004s testdrive) on SUSE Linux 64bit running in AMD 64 platform. During step 1 I got an error message from tar for for the file SAPDBII.tar.bz2 but the installation continued and finished with a ok. Can anyone kindly help me which one of the 7.iso files would contain SAPDBII.tar.bz2 as the tar error seem to be in this file so that I can download this alone once again and rebuild my dvd. Thanks, Ashok. When I try to run pacman -Syu, I get this error: error: GPGME error: No data error: GPGME error: No data error: GPGME error: No data:: Synchronizing package databases. I have a Git packfile that I have saved as a file from the git-upload-pack command. I want to read through the packfile, decompressing each of the objects.

Each object is compressed in the packfile using zlib compression. My little inflater procedure works fine for a tiny HelloWorld project. So, I decided to mix it up a little and use the jEdit source for a larger test. I am 99% certain the jEdit.git packfile itself is ok as I have passed it through directly to eGit's Import using an SSH proxy and eGit unpacked it just fine. So, my inflater method decompresses the first 7 objects fine (a commit, a couple of trees, and several blobs) and a cursory visual inspection of the decompressed data seems fine.

The eighth object becomes a problem, though. It is a blob with the name build.xml that is 51,060 bytes decompressed (looking at the original pre-git-pushed jEdit source). The actual file size matches the decompressed data content size in the packfile object header.

The inflater procedure outputs the decompressed data to System.out for visual inspection. Approximately the first 1/3 looks like the original build.xml but after that, the output is garbled.

Error Decompressing Data Corrupted Installer Counter-strike 1.6

The procedure continues decompressing objects after the 8th, but garbled, object but it dies on the 9th object with an 'unknown compression method' error. So I created a new test inflater to focus only on decompressing the 8th object. Simply opening the packfile, copying out the compressed data (7793 bytes), and inflating it yields the same 2/3 garbled xml. As a further test, I then take the original build.xml file, compress it using java's Deflater (yielding a 7793 byte array), and then inflate it using my same procedure and it decompresses fine.

All of the xml is readable. Now, I have tried several variations of an inflater procedure, including an patchwork variation from jGit's WindowCursor.inflate method. But they all yield the same garbled result for the compressed build.xml data. I run Windows XP Home Edition SP-3, IE 8.0.6001. It's my understanding that SP-3 carries Windows Installer,v. Recently I keep getting an error message that (to paraphrase) Windows Installer isn't working. It could be your in Safe Mode or Windows Installer is corrupted.

Last week I went on line, downloaded Windows Installer 4.5 and eveything was ok for a couple/few days. Yesterday the problem began again. Point: I haven't been able to download or uninstall for a couple/few days. Since I don't want to uninstalling SP-3 and then reinstalling SP-3 again to get Windows Installer 3.1 back and working, is there a way to correct whatever has corrupted Windows Installer 3.1 in SP-3? Hello people,i get this error when i try to save a Document Library as a template.

The Size of the Lib is about 26 MB.When i delete one document and try again then it works (After deleting one Doc the Lib is 24 MB). Although I set the max-template-document-size to 500 before, with following command: stsadm -o setproperty -propertyname max-template-document-size -propertyvalue 524288000It seems that it gets trouble by around 25 MB with decompressing the files. Is there anyone who knows this behaviour and could help on this topic? Thanks in advance. Why am I not looking in the right spot?

Windows Installer Corrupted Windows 10

I have theissue,as I described, above, and have received no help from BB Support, other than to tell me to reinstall DM and then go to a 'Windows expert', if that did not help. I have responded to their email, 3 times requesting more information and have received no reply.

I was able to connect the PB to my wife's laptop, running W7, but I am not about to go out and buy a W7 machine just so I can use the PB. So, I decided to give up, as I only have a few days to return the device. And yes I also made another, general, post to show my disappointment in the Playbook.

It is a very nice device, bit, if I cannot connect to my PC t has little value, to me. I've had a 64GB M225 in my machine for approx 18 months now and this weekend experienced a problem. The initial problem was an inability to run.exe files which I thought might be a virus, much scanning later it's all clean. I then look in the event log and see numerous disk error messages, the odd thing is other than not running programs I could still boot the machine, log in, browse files etc.

Tried a CHKDSK /F no improvement, so last night I move off important files and go for the reinstall. W7 install, format the drive just to be sure, kick off the installer and watch TV. I check back intermittantly and the last visit it was at 57% decompressing files, next visit I have an error box saying file not available and it returns me to the start of the install. Try the install again and the M225 is missing from the list, hard reboot and the drive is back. Install again and it fails at 7% decompressing files. On both occasions I noticed that after the error the HD light was on solid.

Are there any tests I can run or is it just likely that I have a basket case drive? See what this says about registering the msiexec.exe.
