A normal R4 will not work in a DSi, so you'll need to find a DSi-compatible flash card. I would recommend an Acekard 2i or an R4i Gold, but I have not used them before so I cannot say how good they are (however, reviews state they're pretty good, and IIRC R4i Golds can use the same fantastic kernel/firmware as a normal R4). Unfortunately, you may need access to a normal DS or DS Lite, as many places you can buy from will not write the firmware of the flash card to make it compatible with the DSi's latest system version in the first place. DSi-enhanced games cannot take advantage of DSi Mode when run from any R4. R4s just don't have that capability, that I know of. Some flash cards are old enough that they have not yet had the firmware updated to have that DSi compatibility and the seller may not be courteous enough to update it for you.
